These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of training, consultancy and digital products by Safe Haven Education. By booking a service or purchasing a product, you agree to these terms.
1. About Safe Haven Education
Safe Haven Education is a workplace training and policy consultancy operated by Deniz Erdem. References to 'Safe Haven Education', 'we', 'us' or 'our' in these terms refer to the business trading as Safe Haven Education.

2. Services
Safe Haven Education provides the following services:
Workplace domestic abuse awareness training (delivered virtually or in person)
Specialist professional training on coercive control and pattern recognition
Policy consultancy and SafePolicy™ framework
Online courses and digital learning products
Speaking engagements and professional briefings
The scope, format and deliverables of each engagement will be agreed in writing prior to commencement.
3. Consumer Purchases
Safe Haven Education services are primarily designed for organisations and professional audiences. Where services or digital products are purchased by an individual acting as a consumer, additional rights may apply under UK consumer protection legislation.
4. Bookings and Confirmation
A booking is confirmed when Safe Haven Education has issued a written confirmation and, where applicable, a deposit or full payment has been received. We reserve the right to decline bookings at our discretion.
For bespoke training and consultancy, a written proposal or statement of work will be provided prior to confirmation.
5. Fees and Payment
Fees are as quoted in writing at the time of booking. All prices are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated.
Invoices are payable within 30 days of issue unless otherwise agreed in writing and must be paid in full without deduction or set-off.
For online products and courses, payment is required at the point of purchase
Late payments may incur interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act 1998
Safe Haven Education reserves the right to withhold delivery of services pending receipt of payment.
6. Cancellation and Rescheduling
6.1 Cancellation by the client
More than 28 days before delivery: full refund of any deposit paid
15 to 28 days before delivery: 50% of the agreed fee is payable
14 days or fewer before delivery: 100% of the agreed fee is payable
Online course purchases are non-refundable once access has been granted
6.2 Cancellation by Safe Haven Education
In the unlikely event that Safe Haven Education needs to cancel a confirmed booking, we will provide as much notice as possible and offer either a full refund or an alternative delivery date.
Safe Haven Education shall not be liable for failure or delay in performing its obligations where this is caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to illness, technical failure, transport disruption, government restrictions, or other force majeure events. In such circumstances we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the service.
6.3 Rescheduling
One rescheduling request with more than 14 days notice will be accommodated at no charge. Subsequent rescheduling or rescheduling with less than 14 days notice may incur an administration fee.
7. Intellectual Property
All training materials, policy frameworks, course content, reports and written materials produced by Safe Haven Education remain the intellectual property of Safe Haven Education unless otherwise agreed in writing.
SafePolicy™ is a trademark of Safe Haven Education. Clients are licensed to use SafePolicy™ within their own organisation for internal purposes only. Resale, redistribution or adaptation for commercial purposes is not permitted without written consent.
Clients may not record, reproduce or share training sessions without prior written agreement.
8. Confidentiality
Safe Haven Education treats all client information as confidential and will not disclose it to third parties without consent, except where required by law or where there is a safeguarding concern.
Where training involves disclosure of personal experiences by attendees, Safe Haven Education operates on the basis of group confidentiality and will make this expectation explicit at the start of each session.
9. Safeguarding
Safe Haven Education is committed to safeguarding the welfare of all individuals involved in our training and consultancy work. Where a disclosure is made that gives rise to a safeguarding concern, we will follow appropriate referral procedures in accordance with current UK safeguarding guidance.
Safe Haven Education is not a crisis support or counselling service. Attendees in need of immediate support will be signposted to appropriate specialist services.
10. Liability
Safe Haven Education will deliver services with reasonable care and skill. We do not accept liability for:
Any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of our training, materials or advice
Decisions made by clients or their employees following training
The accuracy of third-party resources or signposting information, which may change over time
Our total liability for any claim arising from a service engagement, whether in contract, negligence or otherwise, will not exceed the fee paid for that specific engagement.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
11. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
12. Changes to These Terms
Safe Haven Education reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions. The current version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our services following an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
